OK, this is very impressive on so many levels...

I have a couple of silly questions:

Do you live in an "Earthship"?

Do you use household "gray water" to flow back to the GB in the "garden", or do you use it in the house somehow?

Are those actually "rammed-earth" tires, or are they simply filled with dirt?

you found something worse than washing pea-gravel

Hi questian one we just live in an ordenary house 2 yes we use all our grey water on the garden and lawns 3 yes the tires are semi rammed i use a thing like an electric paint mixer to pack the tires

Todays job plant an aquaponic lemon tree seeing its in moisture absorbing scoria i am going to try running water on it for 3 min each hr Also notice growth in grow beds

Growbeds lookin fantastic - but your soil veggies are looking equally good.
Maybe just Green fingers? How do the soil/ap veggies compare?

Hi Jamie ap wins hands down those soil beds use 3 times the water of the whole ap system

PLease keep us informed on the AP fruit trees, i'm hooking up with these in winter;
6 grape vines
1 fig tree
1 nectarine / plum / apricot grafted tree
1 walnut tree

I've got a grape vine downstairs waiting for a half barrel to have gravel in it

The first three yes but a walnut takes at least 10 years to fruit and has a huge root system

Hi jaymie on your 1/2 barrel cut it of 2/3 of the way up then cut the top out and invert it and knock it in it will make the top very strong

I've got the blue drums already cut F&F, just waiting on time, money and time when it's not 35oC and 76% humidity (urk weather, waiting for the rain to start :tongue10: )
