Just 2 more OSB sheets and the back wall will be done.
I am using tall wall OSB 10’ sheets this speeds the job up. It also makes it more air tight with no seems that are not on a 2 x 4.

Yup nothing like impending hard frost! I'm in ND and just got sealed up before the first 29 degree night. The greenhouse stayed at 59 with no heater. We were very impressed for a first build. We are passive as well and I need to fill my top barrels sometime this week. The bottom ones have been holding the fort but we are far from our winter temps. Ugh. Nice build. Will be interested in your solar set up too as that progresses.

I checked out your build. I love the freezer fish tank.

Another full weekend on the greenhouse.
I cemented footers for the support beams on Saturday.

I added diagonal supports that go from the ridge beam down to the support beams that hold up the ridge beam.
We are having unseasonal cold weather tonight so I tried to cover some of the plants.

I finished the east side OSB. I added one more back rafter and the starting of boxing.
I put up the Fascia treated Boards on the back.

It could be the picture, but in the first one, the ridge beam looks like it's about 1.5" low in the center? Much easier to fix now then after it's sheeted.
We were in the 50's here last night.

We got to 40 not the normal for here this time of the year.

Yes you are right it is 1/2 - 3/4”low. When it took out the temp brace over the weekend and put in the two temp braces on the sides it settled some. I put in a nice footer in the center for the real support beam.
It is not cured yet I might adjust the temp braces tonight.

Looking fantastic. We got a freeze night before last. Sheeted the water in the tile cutter bath, took out the squash in the garden. Don't seem to mind now that we have our badass earth-sheltered greenhouse online. I need to start building my Ardunio out to data logging.

I finished the support beam. I still need to attach a couple boards to this one to the back and front rafter.
The roof is not sagging anymore.

I made the support beam out of 3 reclaimed 2 x 8's with 1/2 OSB glued between each layer.

I add the front wall support. It is a steel beam ½ bolt in cement on bottom and 10 structural screws at the top.
One more thing crossed off the list.

That front leaning wall needed extra support.

We had frost one night was about 38 deg. Now it is back to normal and not getting that cold.
I covered the plants they mostly did pretty good.
We will replant once the greenhouse is closed in.

I have a new contract so I can only work on the green house in the morning 7-9 and then the afternoon 4 – 7:30 (dark). Weekends so it is slowly getting done.

I is just me working on it now pretty much now. The boys have homework cross country band...

Some more progress. All the OSB is done on the sides. Sides are painted with two coats where the polycarbonate will be installed.
One row blocking done on front rafters to support the polycarbonate.
