Hi Andrew. Hope all is well. I have a silly question regarding your drum filters. Does the first one in line get dirtier than the last, or does the gunk distribute evenly throughout?

Hi everyone,I thought I would post a quick update so here goes. Father is now with his beloved wife ending weeks of suffering,Lewy Body Dementia is such a cruel disease to watch anyone going through, but now all suffering is over.
As for me I am going to hang around for a little while longer to clear up the estate before going home. Future plans are going to see us building a medium sized commercial system on a plot of land we have lined up,the greenhouse hopefully is going to be in the region of 30m x 8m,inside comprising of three large DWC troughs. Fish house will have four tanks along with the required filtration and other equipment, the system will be decoupled,I have plans on paper but until I get back and talk to suppliers things might change. Hopefully it won't be long before I can return and get all this underway,I am really looking forward to this next step as the last 7 months have been a bit on the tough side. I will start a new thread from the turning of the first spade of soil to getting the first plants in.

MW, the upflows were in series so they all got dirty at roughly the same time.

Sorry about your father's loss Andreas.

Glad to hear you'll be getting back at the AP and look forward to finding out what you've come up with when you start your build :thumbright:

A little on the tough side indeed. Sorry for your losses, Andy. I can only imagine what dementia in a parent is like. Damn, rough rough rough. It sounds like you have your heart set on the future where it needs to be. Of course we're anticipating wonderful things for you as well. Good luck from here on out buddy!

A bit late now, but condolences to you and family. Difficult time for anyone to go through.

Slightly different topic, but how did you find Ryans course? I am seriously thinking of signing up. Do you find it helpful, coming from an already fairly knowledgeable aquaponics background? I am also thinking larger scale, so I started to consider it. Just balked at the cost hah.
