I think everyones interested in the results of the coc peat Murray - so regular updates please mate.

Don't hesitate to use the extraneous furniture you have acquired as a relaxation device when contemplating your latest experiments

Well if it has not killed the fish then i am in. Sign me up as a guinea pig as well. I was short one growbed of gravel (was borowed to fix the pathway) so i will just fill one of my half barrels with coconut husks. If the fish taste like coconut I can sell them to the hotels as organicaly pre flavoured fish. Chaching

jtjf_1,

You should be able to get that coconut husk locally without much difficulty....Is there a coconut processing plant near you ?
You may have to get the husks and put them through a chaff cutter or similar device.

VB, We had two zucchinis for tea last night, very good. It is weird how home grown vegies taste better, I am sure a lot of it is in the mind, but they do taste better. I have been pollinating by hand and it is working fine.

EKB, The srtawberries are the ones given to me by VB, they are re fruiting - not to many but one or two fruits per week, it is a taste anyway.

Sunday I used some Seasol on the plants as they are looking a bit sick, not enough fish poo, both the fish and the plants are fine.

LB, the cucumbers were planted out on 3 rd Sept as seedlings, seeds planted 3 weeks before that.

Have just put another tank in place ready for the Silver Perch I am getting in the next week or two.
I will split the return water from the sump and send some of it to the new small 200 ltr tank about 1/4 of it and the rest on to the main fish tank.
I am yet to do the plumbing. I will have it running in the next few days.
