When you putting the liner in, fill it with water as you go so you know its firm down into the bottom and corners. Spend some time getting your hospital corners neat. Have the corner folds facing the same way to the water flow (so gunk doeasnt settle in the pockets). When your happy that it is snug inside the structure and you have your stand pipe fitted, you can staple along the top and then I used a thin wood frame that I nailed down on top of that, then you can cut the liner along that edge to make it neat.

You can see the edging I used in this pic.

Thanks for that Charlie.
Do you think a coating of 50/50 linseed oil and mineral turps would be OK as a sealer on the pine and ply?

Heres some better pics.

I think I used a wood stain/oil. Linseed should be ok.

Workbench has had the legs cut down to drop the height. Finished height of the growbed is about 1150.

Its on the trailer now ready to take home and finish off.
Need to work on the half barrel and filter, plumbing, floating raft, lettuce cups, buy a pump and airpump, fill, and enjoy.
Still a lot to do. Hopefully it will be online soon so I can up my feed rate. I feel my trout are a bit small at the moment.
I took 3 fish out for weights of 78g, 95g, and 106g.
This is the 95g fish

Hope I don't have a problem of fish being too small come harvest time.

You have plenty of time, maybe another 5 months. They will be big before you know it.

The bed ended up deeper than I thought. Miscalculation by me

It is a little under 450mm deep.

Ha ha, I did exactly the same thing, ended up pulling it apart and cutting it down. I had to have mine at a certain level though so couldnt leave it that deep. It will still work the same though Id say.

All the more filtration for your fish :D

I've never seen anything that says it doesn't work at deeper levels. You could put some fruit trees in it!
