Neighbours Peacock, Frederick has decided to spend most of his days at our place. Except he entered a no go zone. I've chased him off and his two girlfriends from my grow beds a couple of times in the last week. There quiet friendly and spend lots of time at the back of the house. You can get with in a meter of them no worries. There very inquisitive, even going into my shed and getting on my work bench. The Buggers..

What to do

Cheers Bearrs, peacocks have been good of late, he came over yesterday for a quick visit then nicked off. The day I flew out three weeks ago he was on my grow bed so I snuck down there and grabbed him by the tail feathers. The idea was to rip a whole heap out and send him home with a big gap in his beautiful tail. Well he locked his hubs in, chucked it in low range and proceeded to dig up all my plants. I had to let him go before he totally destroyed all my plants. I may have sweared a little bit more than usual and he flew home not to return for ages. And yes he definitely eats my plants.

Pots are going well Charlie, tomatoes are about one meter high. Pumpkins have just started to take off. Some of the other plants struggled a bit. I think once they get there roots through the bottom there away. Biggest problem at the moment is moths, since all the wild raddish has fallen away in the paddocks with the warmer weather they have all turned to me for support. Plus all the little buggers have turned up as well. I've been lacking my usual motivation towards my aquaponics this time home and just taking it easy so there having a feast.

Since I've harvested all but a hand full of my Trout my dropping PH has totally stabilized sitting at 7 and that's with close to 450 Silvers of various sizes. After adding Dolimite four weeks ago my plants have improved. Plus I added 300 grams of DTPA chelated iron last week so all seems well.

I cooked a stir fry tonight so a quick visit to the aquaponics and I was set. Apart from the Capsicum and Egg plant (mine aren't ready yet) everything was picked out of the system this arvo. Browm onion, Spring Onion, Garlic chives, Italian Parsely, Chards, Cabbage, Beetroot, Broadbeens, and Celery

Looking good Muzza - how do you grow your strawberries - I'm buggered if I can get mine to crop well in normal GBs - The current ones are producing fruit, though they are dry and astringent tasting.

Are those peacock eggs in the advertisement shot above? Did well getting those out ;)
