Can cut up that leftover plastic into pieces. Make a wicking bed out of a barrel/bucket/tub, and toss the plastic pieces (plus a few other odds and ends) into the bottom. Put a filler pipe in, cover it with a scrap of shadecloth, fill it up with compost - Wala! A wicking bed. And no one needs to know that there is "trash" in the bottom.

I could ship it to Bulwinkle and let him run it through the shredder. :) Not cost-effective, though.
I want a shredder.

If you put them between plywood and drive over them with the tractor to crush them. You can then use them as beads in a Bio filter. Just add air.

Now I want a shredder and a tractor. Well, I always wanted a tractor. Who doesn't?

Nothing special here. Just an explanatory picture on cutting the IBC if anyone still was wondering. This is the leftover portion. For some reason I haven't thrown it away yet, so I guess my subconcious has a plan for it that I haven't realized yet.

Keep a flat section for the day you drill a hole on the wrong spot.

Haven't bothered with taking readings on the water other than the pH is through the roof because of an algae bloom. Finally got a cover over the fish tank today and changed some of the water out. Hopefully, it will clear soon. Most of the plants seem to be doing great except for the tomato plants-getting some yellow leaves I assume from the wacky pH. Already have a strawberry ripened-seems kinda fast? The fish that I can see are growing and eating great.

Apparently the strawberry was delicious!? My wife picked and ate it before I could even get a picture. Time to build the greenhouse...with a lock on the door!

Can't go wrong with a bucket tractor. Seems out of all the chores that need done, the bucket tractor does most or is used the most. And they sell shredders that connect to the 3-point hitch on the tractor. Hey, just trying to give you incentive... and ammunition in your fight with your finance minister.

You would lock your own wife out of the greenhouse? The shame of such thoughts... that's not going to help you in your fight to get a tractor with a shredder

A tractor WITH a shredder.

The world is truly an amazing place.

My brother has a "Kanga". It's a stand on device that you could comfortably drive through a house without scratching the door frames (he could, I'd take out walls)

I want one of those.

It's like a ride on, hydraulic version of a swiss army knife. It comes with post hole diggers, chainsaw, log splitter, ripper, dozer, trench digger, crane, tooth pick.etc etc etc .. everything you need for a day in the back yard/dining room.

The entire thing runs on hydraulic flow (wheels and all tools) so all you do to add a device is stick it on, and click together a hydraulic hose.

Yea they are cool Bull, we have some around here but they call them dingo's - same thing thou.

They use (as you mentioed) hydraulic flow to drive, its called hydrostatic drive. Basically a hydraulic pump that feeds hydraulic motors at the wheel ends. Very powerful.

If I ever get sent to war I wanna take one of them....and probably some lunch.

I think the kanga is the baby version of the dingo.

What's this country going to do if we bring out another product? We've already used up all the names :)

A pocket sized version called the Koala. You won't actually ride on it, it will be remote-controlled.
Sit in your lawn chair noshing on brandy snaps, and sipping your choice of refreshing beverage while the Koala digs out your new sump. Woohoo!

And send it off to war when you get notice. Just drop some groucho glasses on it and nobody will know the difference.

Im not convinced koala would be the choice of name, I mean kanga and dingo suggest fitness and stamina....and koala...well.......all they do is sleep.

.....or possiby we are all fooled by the relaxed nature of the koala during the day...

....but at night!

The shear terror and destruction begins!!!!
