Hi Bob, thanks for the look around your place a few weeks ago mate, always great to meet another AP nutter.

Those chillies you gave me were were great. we grow a few of our own favourite varieties, but its nice to have a range to choose from. I've kept the last couple for seeds and was hoping you new the names of them. There were the small red ones and the yellow small capsicum shaped ones also.

Cheers BF

Hi there Freddie..
Was great to meet you & see Bear again :)

The small red hot ones are bih jolokias (members of the ghost chilli family) & the yellow ones are yellow 7 pot/pod chillies..
The Jolokia are 800,000 - 1,000,000 on the scoville scale &the Yellow 7s are a bit milder at 500,000 - 600,000 on the scale..
I can do the yellows but not too keen on the jolokias.. I handled a plate that the seeds from the jolokias were on the other day then rubbed my eye... Not an experience I ever want to relive..

We had burning hands today with jalepenos - WD40 was a wonder relief - spray that in your eye Bob :)

Has been a few months Blind Freddie..
System is chugging along fine at the moment.. Lost a few goldies a week or so ago without any reason.. Levels are all good & the perch are fine.. Thought it could of been the quick temp drop that did it but don't think I will find out.. Fished out the 10 survivors & found them a new home with one of Bianca's friends..

Pulled out the first 4 perch a while back to take away with us for a family get together.. They went down well & all the relo's were most impressed with them..

Did make up a small vacuum attachment for solids removal for the fish tank that hooks into the radial flow filter..

Works really well & have used it to tidy up some of the food that the jades have missed..

Did do up a quick update clip the other day..

Started to clear out the spot where the fish farm is to go by moving some IBC wicking beds out to the front yard & did my back in moving the last bed so have been told to stay out of the garden for another week (while B is at home that is ;) )

How are things travelling up your way Freddie ?? Haven't seen a post from CC for a while either..

I'm going to try and use a vacuum cleaner attachment (the one that's smaller and plastic and fits inside the vacuum lid). This has little felt pads and I can clean the grime.

Like the one in the middle

Gidday BnB, all well up here too mate

I see you have been busy inventing again. just be carefull mate some might think you are up to vacuming the house next.

We have had a few cold nights and mornings lately not to bad at our joint, lowest about 7 C so far.

Black Poly coils are keeping the temps up, and insulation keeping it in.

lowest system temps so far about 16. C. mostly ranging up to about 19 C. Bit warmer here today and both systems got to 22.7 this arvo. The Jades are still smashing the food.

Anyway mate catch up with you again one of these days, Give me a yell if your up this way some time.

Cheers BF

Easy enough to make I think Happyfarmernt + you get a load of great plant food for the rest of the patch..
