Haven't some people been having trouble even with aqualined tanks? Obviously if the tank is old or some of the plastic has been scratched off there will still be the problem of zinc poisoning. After having to pull my system completely apart to fix problems, my tendency is to do the most you can to avoid problems... not the least :)
