Just had to do it, feed the obsession, Had to increase the overflow from the FT to RT from 25 - 50mm, now workin like a charm, will probably tidy up some of the pipework from the pump over the weekend, and perhaps replace the suicidal KOI, :headbang:

Nice work steve, really interesting setup.

Those plants look like they're coming along nicely. Even my goldfish are suicidal, only managed to stop it once closed up all their options. Get rid of the problem areas and you'll be all good.

How long is the shelf life of your seasol? With a system that small You'd be adding like one cup a month so would last you eons, wouldn't go bad would it?

I bought such a large amount because I HAD a fertigation unit on my garden but I took it down and put into storage when I put my house on the market, But I will use it up on the rest of the garden by hand now, I wasn't aware of the shelf life, but I have noticed an article posted that I will have to read, Thanks.

bought 6 more koi today (smaller ones) and put netting over, they have been good this time, app. they tend to jump if they have been disturbed, so I will try and not do any more, just work on the plants now and test and monitor the water, ph is almost neutral. Slightly on the higher side of neutral. will test ammonia tomorrow. will probably go for leafy veg, lettuce, bok choy spinach etc, in the tower.

NFT pipes, I've had good luck with basil in a high pH system as well as small chinese or napa cabbage and lettuce and purslane, there are lots of small plants that do just fine with it.

Got given some small marron the other day, I put em in my sump tank, and put a net over it, Have heard of the buggers getting out, Unsure of what to feed them, Any Idea's?, Preferably not pellets, something more along the lines of what they would eat in nature, something I can grow if I have too.
