little by little..........

framework is almost done.... maybe tomorrow...

will get it positioned and figure out how the waterfall will work and
start laying out plumbing

then will fill both ponds to see how many gallons they hold

then I can get my GB's

Then next step..... whatever it may be :)

finally got around to filling the ponds....

came up to 180 gallons.....

going to use some heavy duty 27 gallon totes (10)

so 270 gallons with rock 135 gallons

so I will find a 200+ gallon ST.....

and get this thing moving along.....

A 275 gallon IBC and you won't have to worry about topping up as often because of evaporation.

You would have to put some wood aroung the outside to keep the dirt from trying to crush in but as far as it lasting it does better underground because the sun's uv doesn't get to break it down.

Mine are all galvanized steel like emt some are square tube but also galvanized. I hadn't seen an aluminum one yet but would probably out last the wood.

finally its been nice outside and got some more work done...

got wood and GB's and started construction

was going to clad the outside of the ponds and GB's with cedar planking, until
I looked at the price WOW a 1 x 6 x 8' board was 15.00 I would need 20 or more of
them

so, will re-think the covering.....

maybe some treated ply and cover that with split bambo......

A 300 gallon rubbermade stock tank might make a fine sump that doesn't require too deep a hole. However, your high water situation at your site, with any tank sunk into the ground, you will always have some worry about it trying to float out of the ground when the water level in it is low. This can be very hard on plumbing if the sump tank tries to shoot out of the ground. Gotta be sure it is weighted down in such a way that such a thing is less likely to happen.
