Good one Gnash - Just a little nudge, the IBC's come in 4 categories, most go for the "food grade" model, the others may have stored some nasties 8)

Sometimes there's no time to put shoes on before running out in the morning to check the system.... :)

If you do run into problems with the flywire mesh getting blocked, you could try moving to a larger mesh like standard gutter guard, dirt cheap, will hold the gravel, and won't get blocked...

Good idea eb, the reason I used the flywire was,it was handy.the dragon uses it in the bottom of her pot plants(I just nicked it from her)

Also, as Ell said, it's good to try and find out what was in the IBC's before using them.. If in doubt, quarter fill one and stick a goldie or two in it for a week to see if they survive ok..
