Joyce, I measured the oval parts and they are 1 inch by 2 inch. The majority of the parts are either these or fittings designed to connect ovals together. Once the parts are assembled a little plastic pin is pushed into a predrilled hole holding it all together.

Well, Saturday was a work on the foundation and dirt and gravel day. Today at 9:00am the crew, (friends and relatives) arrived and we raised the roof. Nice rainy day, ensured shoes were good and heavy with wet dirt. Have a bit of dressing up to do with the foundation yet and add all rubber seals around the lower panels then it will be piping and such. Not all bad only a month behind schedule.

Thanks and cheers. I have been trying to grow strawberries inside with little sun. It don't work, but I do have 13 babie guppies now and only a fish kill count of 5. Still raining here so I think I will have that beverage.
Here's what I did to my tank.

File comment: The tank box. 2in certifoam on the sides and 6in on the bottom. Also ran some coiled poly pipe around the tank incase I need some heating/cooling later.

John, you are a craftsman. Are you living next to a caravan park? Ready made market I see there! Absolutely sensational.

Yes Stu, the only traffic past our house leads into the trailer park. Made market or thieving little rapscallions, we shall see. LOL. Not a craftsman but I can use duck tape!
Thanks AM, I almost forgot that part. I can't take the credit though it was Murray's work on his tank that made me go duh, better do that and had some poly laying about which helped to remind me. This forum is priceless but we all know that!

Too true.. My experiments with polly pipe did yield some small results - but then I was heating the water through a compost heap....

I followed your posts while you were doing that AM, I'm still leaning towards a heat tube set up, (as discussed in the solar posts) but have some issues to resolve first. This winter will be a good test of whats needed to maintain heat in the green house.

I was looking at the el-neato greenhouse and the neatest squarest hole in the ground I have ever seen! Can I ask how much (you can give it to me in USD) the greenhouse kit was worth?

Wow, that's one square hole. I really like the styrofoam tank - nice and simple.

That is one nice greenhouse. My commercial one is much smaller and I have problems with it being in Florida and the heat. It got so hot this summer that it melted most everthing plastic. I need to come up with better ventilation, or air condition it, expensive. What kind of air flow does the window vents in the roof provide?

Stu, it cost nearly 3k, so I figure if I really had any building skills I'd have gone your route. This will be the test system I hope. Now with the bank nearly broke, I'm yelling breed ya Guppies breed!
Dave, the yellow box was sort of an after thought, can't believe I at first dug the hole just to fit the rubbermade tank i am going to use. The box will provide much more insolation. I'm so glad to be done digging. Here's a pic of my first silliness.
Thanks Joyce, Plastic melted? Ouch, what type was used? Did you have shade cloth? Not sure about the window air flow just up one calm rainy day. I have a fifth window that it came with incase I need more, figure it will be about six months before the good heat comes back this way.

Hi John:
So you're going to have a lot more than 300 gallons, or still around that much?
