This little drip pipe is pretty far above the FT compared to other set-ups I've seen around the internet. Does it matter? Are the gold fish going to be upset by the impact? From what I understand adding the drip pipe facilitates oxygen into the tank. Is there any good reading material on this subject outside of the Sylvia Bernstein book?

The IBC system is up and cycling!! I blew threw my aquaponics budget a little faster than i was anticipating. Now that the cash is there again I put together an IBC and bought a Koi to celebrate. Hopefully sooner rather than later I'll build a proper frame for it, until then the Frankenstein set up is back.

the fish probably won't mind but if you have neighbours nearby they may not like the noise.
