Yes, the wording was incorrect, The AREA of the grow beds will be about 720 square feet and with them being 12 inches deep the grow beds will be 720 cubic feet and 5385 gallons empty or 20382 liters.:)

I ran into a friend and mentioned to him I'm looking for IBC's. His company uses many of them, some are for chemicals and some for food ingredients. All are 330 gallons. He is checking if I can get them for free and how many I can have a month!!! He is thinking they use 6 foodgrade a month and I could have them. Now I need to redesign my plans. The way I figure it I could place 13 IBC beds in a row of 60 feet and make 3 rows for a total of 39 grow beds inside first green house. Any members systems with that many beds used? Most would be used as deep water.

Some times what is free is not cheap.

Lots of people use IBCs but for a commercial system the effort and expense of plumbing them all in will get expensive. Which is not to say do not do it just consider all the costs.

I agree, I was mentally going through it and cost wise the plumbing is still cheaper then lumber and pond liner. Now that does not mean it will be a better system, but will it work? I believe so with a bit of thinking about the layout. I would like to see another system like it though, bottom line is I cannot afford to do things over.

PLJ, thanx for the link, I will read it all tonight. My GB will be cut IBC's, one IBC will result in two GB's approximately 12 inches deep.

Just include the video identifier between the youtube code brackets... i.e... the "OKTKD706t8o"... giving...

Blame it on those darn enabling moderators that just embed the YouTube videos for people without telling them how it was done!
