Yes Ph too. It was a little high at 8 or so but I was able to get it down to about 7.4ish. Still a little bit high but workable.

My testing kit only goes up to 5ppm for nitrites. For nitrates it goes up to 160ppm. Is there anything else I need to watch for?

Some more pics. I finally got some nitrates going after doing a water change to get my ammonia down to 3.5ppm. I think it was to high to allow nitrite bacti to get going at 8+ppm. After I lowered it and gave it a bacti start, 30 hours later I have nitrates! Yeah!
