Temps are slowly warming. water temps up to high 60's, fish are eating 2-3x per day now. All water parameters are good. Koi are getting bigger.

Here's a pic of what 1000 lbs of pig will do to a paddock in 9 days.lol Moved them and will rake out and reseed the area asap. They love the new area. takes a few minutes to get the hang of the new digs, but then seem to relish the new greenery.

How much land do you have to move the pigs around on?
We raised three young (got them around 40 lb each and sent them to slaughter at around 250 lb each) pigs for less than a year in probably 3 acres and still needed to feed them commercial feed and kitchen scraps daily.

Around an acre that I fenced. So far so good with the three around 1000 lbs total. I'm still feeding a 16% pig feed that I had made at a local mill. But since putting on parture, I've reduced my feed bill by around 33%. That will come down another 10-15% once my local brewery starts brewing next month. Then I'll add the spent grain also. I'm still waiting for piglets...hoping the sow is pregnant. I am seeding the old paddock tomorrow, and will do the same about every 9-10 days, this next mix has a lot more variety, and should provide better forage also.

I like the sticky trap as well. How's it made? Will my lady bugs get caught too? They love brightly colored things

I use them to help monitor the white fly, my main nemesis. Tangle foot on a yellow Dixie cup. They are indiscriminate, and I've seen good guys as well on them.

So, after around 5 months, we're almost there on the house, AP and RAS back up genny.
My buddy, who is by trade an HVAC mechanic, but does massive amounts of electric as well finally came over last Sunday. After about 5 hours, we finally have everything switched over and only a few more parts left to get on the box by the generator and we can give it a test run. It was a difficult job because we have so m any breaker panels.

My GH is going crazy. I'm ashamed and excited by my toms. Excited because they're growing like crazy. Ashamed because they need a major pruning, and I've been so busy, I don't know when (if) that will happen. :dontknow:
Try and get a pics soon. I counted around 300 fruit on around 4 vines this AM. Starting to see some whitefly, and ordered another 1000 encarsia wasps.

Hope everyone is doing good. Crazy busy here. Spring in the landscape business is not for sissies.

I'm so sorry I haven't made it to UPS with the centrifuge. Now at least it's in my work vehicle and not my wife's where it has been overlooked since last we chatted. Our UPS store is only open after 3:00PM and I had to work out of town yesterday. I hope next week is back to a normal routine.

Thanks, I do feel half dead. This is getting depressing. Today for the first time in twenty years, I could not work with our local group of 30 guys cleaning our public section (5 miles) of the irrigation ditch because I can't walk, let alone run a shovel.

Boss, sorry to hear that. I will be praying for your recovery. Not the answer I expected after my backhanded comment on your profile pic.
