Trout not so excited about their food tonight and there were a few pellets uneaten half and hour later so, maybe I have been pushing it a bit too much. Will skip the morning feed tomorrow and try them with a few pellets after the footy .

The stupid things that can happen eh. Went out to check on the trout system and opened the sump lid to find one growbed return with nil coming out. Pulled the ball valve off the growbed inlet and found a 150mm dead trout stuck in it. The holes in the SLO are only small so he must have gotten in there weeks ago when I first got them and grew in the 90mm pipe till now.

Yeah really weird Charlie. A week or so ago I got home to find the sump empty and the fish tank overflowing as the outlet was completely blocked. I gave the main backbone outlet pipe to the growbeds a good shaking and GLOOP some gunk came out of the outlets and it freed up. Refilled sump and thought it must have been just some build up of gunk. Now I am thinking this fella must have died and jammed somewhere and the gunk built up around him to block the pipe. :dontknow:
Checked the slo Tee at the bottom of the fish tank this morning thinking maybe I knocked the end cap of on side of the Tee when putting the air lift filter pipe in the tank. But all is good so the only holes fish can get into are about 15mm
Anyhow, all good now I hope and the fish fed like nutters this morning

Pulled out the broad beans in one of the ibc's as they had covered the path and sump and were not setting beans. Compost bin is now full and have planted out some brocolli

After cleaning out the ibc broad beans that were covering two beds I noticed the bed near the fence had sunk at the fenceline. So a bit of jacking and adjusting got it back level

Have planted a dozen lettuce and silver beet , a yellow pepper and a couple of tommys. One of the tommys was a cutting that I rooted in the clay ball bed in the greenhouse.
