Well, the plastic is finally on, bar a few trimming bits and pieces and a re-pull tight at the shed end, it is finished, and all is left now is to get the temp up in my poly tank, open the tap and atart cycling through the growbeds. FIL helped me with this, and it took us a little over 3 hours to do. What a day!. Started at 6:30 putting the last bits of frame together, then put protective felt tape over all the hoops and sharp corners. 6:30 now, so a 12 hour day. Knackered.

File comment: draped the plastic over. 10 metres by 7.5 of plastic sure is hard to get along with

See what u mean about the shady tree in summer, inspiring me to get a leg on my next system (doing a lot of planning)

Mon, could you try using a hose or poly pipe, slitting it and sliding it over the bottom frame to keep pressure on the plastic - no what I mean?

Same as u suggested for Jaymie's tank

what about a length of hose, with a slit in it, clipped over the sharp edge?

Hey Ell,

Special plastic, installed correct side up for condensation reduction. $9 a mtr 7.5 metres wide, so pretty good. It's 180 um thick

Ell, there's probably a million ways to do it. I used 12 x 3 mm aluminium bar and tec screwd threw it as a fastener around the bottom rail. Seems to have worked quite well and was cheap and easy

How's the back after 12 hours?

Looks like it is worth the pain.

Great work

Nice to have progress, think it will be a rest day tomorrow though. Screwed in approx 120 tec screws, and the back don't like that at all. Especially when most of the done lying on my side or kneeling down. All worth it though

Ta, all. It's funny, the frames sat there for ages waiting for me to finish, and I was wondering how to do the plastic. When FIL got here, I said we just drape it over and play it by ear, and it seems to have worked. As long as it never blows more than 5 knots again, it should remain standing.
What it shows though, is better than looking at stuff just do it, at the worst you stuff it up and have another go. I reckon theres a lot of that in AP, it's one giant learning curve, and that's what makes it so interesting.
