The solar heating issue is one for me to resolve later on down the road TC. At present I am awaiting the day I get canned at work so I will have funds to spend on a greenhouse. In the mean time I will experiment with whatever I can scrounge up. Still debating myself over purchasing some fish tanks instead of finding something else suitable for the use. I would much rather build "D" raceways out of concrete but that is so permanent.

I saw in another thread that you are using API Leaf Zone as an iron supplement in your system. I came across this analysis you might find interesting:

I wrote an email to the company and asked if Leaf Zone would be safe to use in an AP system. They said they have not tested it for use in a system that grows food for human consumption. Because they have not tested it, they would not recommend it's use for that purpose.

I put one dose of leaf zone in my system before I found the analysis. I won't be using it any longer.
