very nice tank :) out of interest, the aq shoops sell these scrubbing thing for glass tanks, whic is a scrbuuber brush with a magnet that you put on the inside of the tank, and a handle with a magnet that you put on the outside. then you just scrub away while holding a beer on the outside and the inside brush does all the work :) might be a good idea given the heigh of that tank

If you really want to get the scratches out of perspex, buff them with some toothpaste.
Works a treat

The only bit of polycarbonate is the chunk that holds the bulkhead fittings into the solid steel base.

The sides are actually 16mm multi laminated glass! :headbang:

not sure if the aquarium magnetic cleaners would work through 16mm glass!!!
I've got one that I use on my indoor glass tank, but found that covering the top seems to stop alot of the build up of algae and don't need to use it at all anymore.

Just tried a magnet cleaner, I think it might just work :thumbright:

It was pushing the limits and was not pressing as hard as a normal on the glass,
but it is a floating brush so if it falls off it's not a problem.

Thanks guy's nice thinking! :notworthy:

There is a shop just locally that only sells magnets.

I might see if they have a rare earth magnet that will beef it right up.
Their prices are pretty good.

Just loaded the trout into the new glass tank.

Cooltank is now empty and will probably be on the market shortly.
Expressions of interest welcome :)
