Oh yeah,

Theres the brewing, the woodworking, and then theres looking after an acre and a bit of land a making sure it's fire safe.. The small orchard of fruit tres and the earth garden..

Thinking of building a wood fired oven, for pizza to go with the beer.

I go to work to rest, my boss is amazed by my attendance .. :)

It's been a while since I put an update about my system so,

About late April I moved the Silvers out of the system and into an aquarium inside. Lost four smaller ones, probably the stress of being chased around, finally caught, then carted to a whole new enviroment. The aquarium is heated, but I'm only feeding them a small amount each day, basically don't really want them to grow too much in the aquarium as there is not much room. Probably about 30 or so fish ranging from 100mm to 250mm. The system outside was kept going with the Gold fish that were in the sumps during May..

The summer crops were cleaned up with 8 kilos of green tomatoes becoming a preserve. eggplants did rather badly, pumpkins did alright though I strugled again with the cucumbers. The lemon grass I have growing is going "bunta", as is the celery, chard and lettuce

Winter crops were seeded in and some seedlings planted out... mainly chinese vegies, bok choi etc..

Today I went down to Tooperang and brought back some "fish that grow well in cold weather" Put nets over the two Fish tanks, as I know how much these things like to jump.
I will need to add some more plants as the winter stuff is still a little small, and just having added a whole lot of fish to the systems will upset the balance for the next couple of weeks or so, though the rain may actually help in this regard (free water change)..

that's pretty much it for now..

bit of an update on my system(s)

Basically I've had to shut them down... The reason being that my house has been demolished and the power cut. (voluntary)

We are rebuilding and I will hopfully be back in the swing of things early next year. I guess this gives me a chance to re-organise a few things and make them a little bit more efficient. who knows I might even be able to get a green house built in that time (lol)

Himzo.
