Here is the final set of pictures. I figured that I should take some pictures to show what is occurring in the garden.

Its incredible I can literally go out to the garage and see them jump in size every six hours.

If you really can't slip a length of tube into the tank to siphon off a little water, at least stop feeding until the nitrite comes down.

Janet. I left the system alone for a day as the nitrites were falling at a HUGE rate. At least in my mind it was. The thing went from being solid purple the moment I popped in the drops to slowly changing to purple. Now its between .5-.25 ppm.

I think it will be 0ppm by this evening or tomorrow.

How do you get peppers to grow? I cannot get them to grow past 15 cm. Then they just stop growing.

Might be a slight nutrient deficiency, DT.

dthawk, what kind of peppers are you growing? I hand fertilize them and they go. How large did you let your pepper plant get before you started allowing it to grow peppers?

If you want to maximize production you can kill the growth of flowers by pinching them off and forcing it to put the energy into the plant. I have about 40 peppers on that plant now.

that might be our problem, the plants are too small for fruiting properly just yet
