Nice S&A... :)

Are things going to be stable enough to support it all when you have big cabbages and broccoli all along your fence..? :)

Nice work team. I have some caulis coming along well, so brassics in AP seem no problem. I may have to add some potash when they start to "head up" but the barra pellets i feed with are high in potash. See how we go. Keep it up.

Guys, steve and ange have posted this from my login...........
**************************************************************

hi all, woke this morning to find cabbage decimated! had previously found cabbage moth catterpillars and used the squish and feed method. anyway, went out and checked system today to find the leaves looking like there had been a gunfight in my backyard! there were bloody hundreds of the bastards on the cabbage. took all the cabbages out (you can do this with a NFT system ;)) and sprayed the leaves with a pyrethrum spray. The other steve nearly died when i told him this, but i only sprayed the leaves and nowhere near the rest of the system. There were simply too may to hand pick off! Anyway, did a full load of tests too;

Ammo=0.0
nitrite=0.0
nitrate=between 0.0 and 5.0
PH=7.7 ---> this one is weird, as its never been above 7.2 with the egg shells, and i've done nothing different...............

Anyway, steve tells me that there is lots of info here regarding natural pesticides, if someone could link me to some info pertaining to stuff that would be good for the cabbage moth catterpillars i would be very appreciative. He mentioned a few things like DE, dipel, and BT, though he didn't know too much about the last two.
