JT do you do anything special with you hot peppers to assist germination?

I have read that they can be a lot harder to get to germinate.

Hey

no I dont do anything at all....

the habs were planted in the GH in december, so no bees (we dont have any here anyway) were around...

peppers are self polinators, I have never had to do anything

Hey JT,

I just finished this thread last night and I'm totally blown away! Your documentation of the work you've done is incredibly impressive and SOOOO helpful to an AP NOOB!! Thank you for your attention to detail and the extra effort to photo and document everything. This is one of the most amazing projects (AP or otherwise) I've ever seen.

I live in the Greenville/Spartanburg, SC area and would love to get over your way to see your setup someday. I'm going to be doing a hoop house with IBCs and poly-barrels, but not ready to go just yet.

Your thread is a great inspiration. :thumbright:

I have so enjoyed your post. Wanted to say thanks for all the awesome information. I'm working on planing my second... larger... expanded system and you've given me a lot of great ideas. Already sent you an email about dropping by. Looking forward to getting home so that I can get my own new system started.

I was wondering if it was the size of your grow beds and the 2:1 ratio that made you choose to incorporate a sump. I considered it, but I'm thinking of going with an indexing valve instead to alternate through my grow beds since the ground doesn't exactly lend itself to digging in my yard.

JT, have you ever thought of growing something small? I am getting a serious inferiority complex from you!
