Yeah, you're probably flushing pockets of stuff out of the growbeds that you weren't when running continuous flow C1...

Could potentially cause a spike... especially "nitrites".... suggest you test, and salt accordingly mate... and maybe even stick a couple of extra pump cycles in for a day or two...

I added a few extra cycles this arvo... 8)
But any spike would be over by now.
The fish are feeding the LITTLE I am giving them
My salt level would be about 2ppt and has been for yonks.
Thanks for your thoughts Rupe

Why would I ever doubt you were anything but on top of things C1... 8)

For the benefit of others that may not be aware of what is being discussed...

Stirring up an established growbed, which may contain some (small) anaerobic zones...

May not only "muddy" up your water.. but result in a temporary imbalance in the nitrification process... and a corresponding nitrite spike.... as well as potentially temporarily lowering the amount of DO... while the imbalance is corrected... both by oxygen demand of "suspended and/or anerobic particles"... and due to the extra oxygen consumption as the bacteria readjust to the (temporary) increased load...
