Well yes, I will be more busy in the next few weeks... better to get more done when the days are still warm enough... don't really like the feel of frozen fingers...

There is a good chance there Ivan, I reckon! Could you tell if it had striped legs, part black and part white?

Looks like bottom part white and top part black... Seems like it has moved since I took its photo...

Hi Ivan
Just finished reading your thread. Very nice third system. I wish my system was more complete.

Time for an update.

Finally, I have finalised the AP layout for the third system.

The corrugated garden bed shown will be a wicking bed.

Decided that the bamboo thing covering the IBCs was too crapy looking and seems to have weathered to a bad state. So I got a handyman to clad up the IBCs with the corrugated sheets of the same colour to the wicking garden bed.

The colorbond sheets do make a lot of difference to the look... The missus is pleased with the upgrade...

Very nice, what an improvement over the bamboo... Any idea roughly how much the materials might be to do that?

Gunna have to update your pics in the IBC manual... :thumbright:

Thanks... I am really happy with the transformation myself... We initially decided to do two IBCs out of the four we have to see how it looked after the makeover. We were concerned about spending the money without much return in looks. But once the guys completed the work, we told them to order the materials to the next two...

EB, the handyman quoted me about $165 per IBC for materials. Not sure about the final price yet, including labour. The handyman charges me on an hourly rate rather than lump sum and it has worked well for us.

They have already done a number of projects for us. Most recently, they assembled a kit form cubbyhouse...

When the children get older Ivan it will make a great chook house, just put a hole in the back of the cubby house and you won't have to bed down to collect the eggs! :D The chooks will love the slide woowhoo!

Hmm... did not think about that...

The bottom of the cubbyhouse actually doubles as a sandpit. So we thought about converting the bottom to another garden bed when the sandpit is no longer required...
