Well , seems I've got the pic thing working , can someone tell me if and where there is an edit button ?

Anyway , this pond was here when we bought the house about 6 year ago and has just had goldfish in it up till about 18 months ago , when we decided to chuck some trout in to see what happens. At that time we had not even heard of aquaponics and had no filtration at all , just a waterfall. So in went 8 GP trout fingerlings . They went gang busters for about a year when we discovered aquaponics and hit the panic button and rushed out and bout the R2D2 look alike bio filter in the pic as a stopgap till we could get a grow bed up and running.
The Trout currently range from about 1kg to 500gm and will soon be joining us for dinner as now the grow bed is nearly ready the tank temp will probably go up .

Made a trip to BYAP yesty and came home with a lot of work to do :think: .

So now there is no backing out :thumbleft:

Thanks Ponica , got a heap of seedlings today :headbang:

Got a Arlec timer with my gear the other day , just threw it in the bin . What a piece of junk , picked up a different one from the big "B" and good as gold .

Thanks guys , yeh Faye they are still in there , been in there for 18 months now , buy a wise man at the BYAP shop said they will probably need to join us for dinner now that I have a growbed online as it will raise the temp to much .
Be a good excuse to go get some of those giant barra "fingerlings" like the onesyou have put in at the shop . Bit exy but they should grow out by winter eh ?

So now we are all planted up and running , what do I do now :dontknow: :lol:

PLanted : Rhubarb , capsicum , Beetroot , Coz Lettuce , Silverbeet , Corn , Stawberries and Artichokes .
Havent actually heard of anyone doing Artichoke , maybe they are a bad idea :dontknow:
