No it hasn't died... But it has been suffering an onslaught of rats. I've caught at least 4 at one time out in the tomato bush and they're too damn smart to get into the trap now.. I've been baiting them in a few spots away from the system, and over the past 4-5 days they have eaten a whole box of ratsak, yet still last night I spotted at least three in the bush at the one time..

Who would have thought they could be such a problem in an aquaponics system.... :?

The rats are half the problem, the other half of the problem is the dog trying to chase them, he's crushed a lot of the bush that was hanging down over the growbeds.
But getting a few tomatoes, and there are still lots there, I'm hoping for a few more flushes of fruit over summer..

So the tally so far..

One pick of 350g

One pick of 600g

This photo here has 2.3kg

So it's up to 3.25kg... Bloody rats have probably eaten twice that much already....
