Roots? Looks more like the hair I clean out of the shower drain every month or two... I've got a wife and two daughters! Of course it could be my hair. It has been jumping ship a little at a time for a number of years.

Looks good.
Where are you in NC?
I'm in the Triad area.
I've got the proof of concept going, but I've got the indoor aquarium and no light, so I'm having a hard time getting the plants running right. My system is cycled (12-year established aquarium), but my big system (not up to Jaymie's size), will hopefully be a couple thousand gallons. (but first the proof of concept - I've got College tuition to pay next year....

Greenedo,

I'm in Charlotte. Not that far from you. :)

I'm going to add the plants this weekend. I was threatened that if I did "prime" the system "myself" as mentioned earlier, there would be no consumption of any plants...ever.
:(

Just a quick update. A little over 2 weeks and the dozen goldfish are still going strong. I put in some cheap plants this weekend (some of the 99cent starters) from lowes. A couple of tomato, squash, cucumber and 1 pepper plant. :)

Now we can see how long it takes for them to keel over dead!

Wish me luck!
