Hello,
First of all, I am a beginner in these aquaponic wanderings and that where I live, Madeira Island, in Portugal, there is no one who has these systems, except a small company that sells very small systems.
Therefore, the difficulties are at all levels, from material to wisdom ...

My system was created with a lot of materials that existed here at home.
I used a 3,000-gallon pool and partially underwent it (because of the temperatures in the summer. I initially placed 100 rainbow trout, but for some reason, when I introduced the plants, half of them died.

They were introduced on January 15, 2018, already with the system cycled, since it had been running for 2 months with some carps.

I assembled 6 boxes of expanded clay and pipes to make everything work in the best way. I have made some specific changes because I am always learning.
I've created a video to be more enlightening.

Let me tell you that I have learned a great deal about aquaponics by the internet on various forums. Yours in particular.

I am happy with the evolution of my learning, but I have problems in identifying some nutritional deficiencies.

As soon as I have the photos on the web, I post a few.

I'm sorry for my English, but I'm using an online translator ...

Thanks

Great system. How deep is the pool? Is that 3000 gallons or 3000 liters? Sorry about the fish loss. Was that when you brought the grow beds online or when you added plants to grow-beds?

The pool is about 70cm high and is 3000 liters.
It was when I added plants to grow-beds. The system was running about 2 mounths with some litle fish and just 2 lettuce. I think that the plants must have some pesticids that wasent well clened. I dont have any other explinacion
