System is still ticking over nicely, although the plants are a bit neglected as usual. Have bypassed the big tank from the system as I still have trout in there and have been running it separately with an experimental evaporation cooling set up. Its working so far, hopefully get them through summer. Had to harvest 90% of my trout at the start of November with a spike in water temp. 130 odd that were between 750-900gm.

Still have heaps of big Silvers in the sump and a hand full of Black Bream.

Have added a 1000L tank that has Pygmy Perch which have bred up in their numbers.

Cheers Muz

Settling tank used instead of the brush filters, yellow weir at back slows flow down and allows solids to drop to bottom

Moved MBBF into an IBC, only aerate when system is loaded up. Replaced all air diffusers in system with Aero-tube. Very pleased with it. Added a centrifugal blower dedicated to the MBBF, good but noisy, makes high pitched noise.

Trout tank, pump circulates about 6x the volume per hour. Not connected into system. No filtration, I do water weekly water changes.

Trout fry in blue tank(old MBBF), slots cut in bottom and large hole in center for pump. There's 7 large Rainbows on the outside.

Thank you Muzza for the updates. Just when you think it couldn't get any better, you take another giant leap forward. Love it.
And Pygmy perch... not only is that neat, but definitely out there. I haven't heard of anyone else growing them, so is it something that you've decided to try out, or something you've heard about from others?
