Thanks earthbound! They are doing good so far. I decided to go with goldfish, they are hardy and can handle the temperature swings that I get in my climate. I have 20 of them right now.

I calculated that I could do 25 per GB, but I decided to error on the side caution. They ate pretty small right now only about 3".

I will upload some pics tomorrow.

Looking good. Question- On the reducing pipe fittings- I that a uniseal inside a cap? If so, why not just use a reducer bushing? I think it would be a lot less $$.

Thanks!

The 3" pipe that I used for my SLO is drainage pipe not schedule 40. Here in Canada schedule 40 is at least twice the price as drainage pipe is, for the size. The reducing fitting that they sell here, for drainage to schedule 40, is quite expensive and I would have had to buy a coupler as well. Since I already had the uniseals, I just bought an end cap, I alreadyhad the other end cap, and finished the job and got everything back up and running.

Also this way I can take it apart if I ever need to. Although it would be extremely difficult to do.

That wasn't my biggest hurdle, the 3"uniseal in my FT was. Since the are designed for schedule 40 and I was using drainage pipe, I had to use the swelled end of the pipe to push through the uniseal and stop it from leaking. :geek:
