Howdy all!

What a very painful week/fortnight.....

House move was delayed somewhat so I ended up having very little time to move everything. Started with the AP system and moved half by myself (!!!) took forever. Managed to get a mate to help move the rest of it thankfully then I got stuck into the house. We've moved to a 2 story place so after having very sore body moving house gear I have not had the motiviation or strength to look at the AP system.

All the trout survived the move however and they are loving the new (round) tank. The old BLACK rectangle unit was terrible for circulation but also trying to view the fish was IMPOSSIBLE!

New tank is light green and very easy to see the fish now.....all I have done is place some airstones about until this weekend and I can set up a few grow beds to resume feeding. I'm going to go for quick and nasty just to get the fish eating again and SOME kind of filtration until DEC when we harvest the trout and I can properly bury the pipe work and add the other 2 grow beds......

Big difference now is I don't have any covers over anything except the fish tank (my old house had a roof'd area we were using as per previous pics so I am sure the frost is going to hit me a lot harder now but perhaps for some plants that may not be the worst thing, but also means I can't get the early starts on tommies etc I had been getting.

Anyways if we end up buying the new place outright then I will set up a green house and move the system from it's temporary home.....wil post some pics next week but will largely be exactly the same, without the roof/carport and in another yard....fingers crossed I don't have to move it too soon again!

Congratulations! I've extremely lucky to have lived on the family ranch for 40+ years, nevertheless, having many other people move showed me what a pain it can be and on top of that to move an active aquaponics system must be horrendous work.
