Hey guys, Im new to AP, a friend of mine has been doing it for years and got me hooked. Im working on building my system up, I have the greenhouse built (not wrapped in the pics), one side of grow beds, citrus tree and DWC table. Everything seems to be happy and thriving. This system has only been running for about 2 months, i did have an iron deficiency starting to show so added some chelated iron 3 weeks ago and has helped alot (besides turning the water blood red). Heres some pics, im using catfish in the lower tank and coy fish and gold fish in the top.

nice sized greenhouse you have there.

what is your actual setup ? A brief explanation of bed sizes, media type and volumes would help.
and how many fish.

presume it goes FT to grow beds to DWC and back to Fish tank ?
How does your sump tank (lower tank fit in ?

Im not good with all the nomenclature of these systems yet but the grow beds are 21 gallon mixing tubs that you can find at any home depot. The media I used is volcanic cinders, where I live theres tons of the stuff everyone uses it for driveways and landscaping so figured i would give it a shot. The lower tank was my tank i started with, its about 70 gallons with about 15 catfish at this time. Im not using a sump tank really everything runs into the lower tank and thats where it pumps out of. As i have it plumbed right now the grow beds drain back into the tank along with the citrus tree and the DWC bed gets its own supply line and runs into the top tank, I think i am going to have to add some sort of bio filter for this though as i am getting alot of solids in the bed. I kinda shot from the hip on the DWC bed, my buddy had never done one so figured I would give it a shot.
