Well, the shrimp I separated for breeding got eaten in the end so the experiment failed hard. They do breed easily in a similar pattern to cherry shrimp, up to 30 young but only in the large females. They seem to be almost entirely vegetarian and do quite well without hassle if there aren't any fish in with them...

More importantly though, the 3 cod are doing well. One is really lagging in growth and it'll be moving inside the house shortly for it's own safety.
At least I'll be able to share pics of one in an aquarium, in the pond they're not much to look at.

From quite tiny fingerlings around 60-70mm, two of them are around 120-150mm maybe? The small one has hardly grown at all but is heaps thicker and looks proper 'fish-like' now.
Really keen to get it inside.

Hey Bodge, good to see you. :D

Sorry about the shrimp but I'm sure they were good for the fish. ;-) Looking forward to some pics.

Martin.

All good here thanks Bodge.
Just very busy with work. Have two projects on my plate at the same time at the moment which is about as much fun as root canal. :)
Loving New Zealand although winter is not as much fun as summer.
