Hey guys

it's probably time for an update of my AP system progress...I first got my "draft" IBC system running almost 2 years ago and use to frequent the forums more often.

Fast forward a few months later...after many mistakes and successes I have built a greenhouse and upgraded my system. The design was compliments of Murray Hallum of practicalaquaponics.net.au.

I have two 4'x8' gravel growbeds (filled with 3/4" pea gravel), an IBC tote (from my original system) as the fish tank, one 4'x8' DWC and finally a 4'x8' Wicking bed.

I am in the process of building a smaller sytem in the remaining space of the greenhouse with DIY vertical towers and some AP Dutch buckets.

I have went from knowing next to nothing about building, aquaculture and growing plants to what you see in the pics. It has been a very rewarding journey to me...although I have had many pitfalls with everything from persistent pests, heat, flooding, water quality....you name it I probably have been through it. I am not quite where I want to be production wise and I have a few issues I am still dealing with. I am happy to share my experiences, hacks & tips with anyone who is interested..especially CARIBBEAN growers! I find myself really lonely in this area of the world with this life changing agricultural method. if you live in this area please say hi.

Greenhouse construction earlier this year over my "old" system:

Caribbean here too. If you happen to be in the BVI's, I'd love to visit one day and check out your system. Probably heading that way for the BVI boat show / Leverick bay poker run!
