Hi Everyone, I'm very excited about this prospect. This is cool, its very exciting to learn a multitude of disciplines combined into one field. I'm an Risk Analyst by day and Dad by night. I will appreciate all the help I can get. This is little help in Ottawa, Canada.
First let me share my little dream Qty 2 X 50 Gallon Tank Poly Stock Grow Beds 1 X 110 Gallon Tank Poly stock Fish Tank 2 X 4 Bulb T5 System Jump Start 7 X Expanded Clay Hydroton 50 liters/each 1 X Water Pump 1056 GPH 1 X Air Pump 4 outlet model features variable control with 1.7 PSI 4 X Air Stones Cylinder 2 X Spinners width of exit pipe into FT 4 X Metal Horses capacity 300 lb/each to hold Grow Beb 20 X Fish Tilapia for starters Plumbing 2 control valves 2 bell siphons Pipes as needed- Plants:Plan Lettuce, Kale, Spinach, Basil, Lemongrass, Green Onions, Rosemary, Cilantro, Parsely for starters
Advice I can use right now. To go with a Loop Siphon or Bell Siphon Can I run one bed till the fingerlings get bigger and then activate the second bed or should I start both at the same time ? Do I really need a sump tank ? How do you measure and control humidity of the system ? Am I missing anything ?
Experiment To increase the DO in the tank I plan to install little spinners in the pipe that exits the GB back into the Fish tank. Has anyone tried that yet ? if not stay tuned I'll share if it improves the DO in the fish tank.
