Welcome, altitude is a totally new ball game.
I live at 7500, for the metrics 2500 meter. Not every plant will do good at that altitude, that is a learning process. For the winter you have to move inside, I get minus 30F, at least for 3 to 4 weeks.
So you have to plan for some rather harsh and extreme weather. As Brian we get 100 and some in the summer ( 40 plus C ), so a 130F swing.
You are a little more South, so you probably have a 100F swing at 7000.

@Fireblade Pilot - Hi and welcome to the forum, i noticed you have either copper/bronze fittings. You might want to look into getting them change. Copper/bronze with constant contact with your water will cause your system to crash by killing your bacteria colonies due to their antimicrobial properties.

Regards

Started swapping out the brass for nylon/ plastic fittings:
Slightly restricted the drain on the grow beds, but my overflow/ h20 leveler hose flows a bit faster.
With all drains measured at the sump inlet, I fill a gallon in less than 20 seconds= 3 gallons per minute x the 60 minutes in an hour = 180 gal. per hour. My fish tank is 55 gallons, 4 gallon sump in each bed (x2)= 63 gallons, and the sump tank it's self holds about 30 gallons. 55+8+30= 93 gallons water in my entire system.
My Fish Tank is turned over 3x per hour and my ENTIRE system cycles 2x per hour?
 According to my calculations... It's Miller Time

Thanx, glad to be here. :wave1:
I built houses in Colorado Springs/ woodland Park for 5 years, in the 1st half of the 90's. Not too much Not to like about Colorado. My 1st n.h.r.a. event at Bandemere. M.R.A. corner Marshall for cycle races in Steam Boat Springs. Metallica and Guns and roses (+body count) at Mile High Stadium. 1st Rockies season? BUT I Digress . :dontknow:
I already realize that I will need plenty of earth for insulation (buried?). I'm even contemplating a solarium attached to the house with the tanks and plumbing in the cellar ?
Incorporate a Rocket stove heater with cob bench/platform, thus mimicking in floor heating , under my tanks, for minimal resources These are both quazi-'earthship' inspired ideas, if that's something you're familiar with?
Temps plunge like an sob with that Feb. Dip in the Jetstream. In the last 8 years of monitoring, we haven't hit as low as 0 or below. We have seen single digits. We will be located on the Eastern Foothills of some VERY tall mtn. ranges in Nevada. The desert valley just below hits triple digits for a short time during summer. (6 weeks?)
