At the very end I see you have an SME table, but in the darkness, I cant really make out the arm or cartridge. I can tell that it is not an SME arm. Could you describe the rest of your system. Thanks for posting the video and Im sure you will have fun with that camera.

Great information, Thanks for posting. I had to laugh at the Chook house comments, long time since I've heard them called that. Is the PVC shade frame bent from a kit or bent by you Ivan?

I don't know what your weather extremes are in Southern River. For me In the USA both the open air system and the greenhouse posed it's own problems. We can have 0F (-17C) in the winter and just went through a spell of 103F (40C summer) days. We sometimes get acid rain here. Industrial locations 100-200 miles to the west of us put acidic particulates in the atmosphere. We are perfectly located for those acidics to come down in the rain. Its just enough of a ph changer to create chaos in my AP system. The open air system was also prone to insect attack. It worked great though, fish grew and plants thrived.

The greenhouse removed the acid rain issue and allows really good control of insects. Releasing ladybugs in the greenhouse usually cures any insect infestation that may occur. The downside to the greenhouse. I have to cover it in summer to keep too much sunlight from entering, causing excessive internal temperatures and algae growth in the FT and Sump. My greenhouse is inflated over a rigid bow frame so an air pump is always running and in the summer a house gable fan runs on a thermostat to keep cooler outside air circulating through. So there is the added expense of running these fans. Winter has proven to be a problem in the greenhouse. Heating it gets expensive. I tried just heating the water, that doubled my monthly electric bill. So I stopped heating and all my Tilapia died. My sump is in the ground which maintained the water temps around 57F ( 13C ). Tilapia apparently cant tolerate that temperature for very long. My winter solution this year is to heat the water using solar panels. I have a friend who works for a contractor that removes solar panels involved in a lightning strike. We found that we could salvage 75% of the panels, and for $9.00 usd we could get replacement electronics on-line to make the panels serviceable again. I will only have heat during daylight but an experiment on a smaller scale showed that the temperature would not drop below 65F ( 18C ) overnight and would be up around 75F ( 23C ) during the day throughout the winter. Hopefully it works as planned.
