System looks good Steve. Where in Adelaide are you? I recently cycled my first system and all seems to be going well so far. Went and visited an amazing system in Victor Harbor which got me thinking about design ideas for my next one

Your set up looks great. This one is about as simple as you can get.

looks like a good manageable size.

How are those loop siphons working? Do you have any words of advice for others looking to use that design?

I was considering trying to do something like that with pvc but i havent tested it yet.

I love the simplicity of the looping siphon and they're working a treat. For me, the 2 major advantages are that they don't take up any room in the grow bed and they are really easy to change the water level. Though if you were making them out of PVC pipe, your flexibility of water level might be hard.

The main thing I've found is to make sure the water can drain faster than it is going into the bed. These one's work like clockwork but I have a second set up that I'm still tinkering with.

I reckon loop siphons on blue barrels.. or small bins... are the only way to go...

Simple, effective... and reliable....

Been a long time since I was on here. We've moved house and had the new set up going for a year or so now. I'll post some photos as soon as I get some time

Glad you are still interested & growing in AP. I often wonder what happens to some members here - whether they lose interest in AP or just the forum.

Can't speak for everyone, but I think a lot of systems just tick along with nothing major to report unless there's a bumper harvest or a HSM. Mine's doing great but I haven't updated my thread in ages.

Would be great to see some updated photos Steve.

Still very keen on AP, just haven't had as much time for it with everything else. Hope to set up a system at my Dad's place once they move and have another friend asking questions too so perhaps a system there one day.
