Looking for suggestions on a 60 gpm pump and airator/blower for planned 4000 gallon system, current phase willl be fish only with DWC/ GB as phase 2. have 220 and 120 in area. Your choice and why? Thanks! Will probably go with O2 tanks as backup, I have a generator also.

Still working on design. Looks like 2- 1250 FT's, either IBC or barrel filters, with a 450-500 gallon spa for sump. Wanting to get fish going and when weather gets cooler, will plan on slightly larger GH and a larger system. Looking for some suggestions on higher efficiency pumps and blowers. Thanks. Stu...around 15K liters I believe. Pretty sure, you know that already. Going with Tilapia to start, then adding 1 tank with Koi. Ideas about separate or joined tanks are also welcome. Anybody have any experience with the Sta-Rite aquatic series pumps? Low energy consumption, computerized and settable for flow rates. Pricey, but have 2 year warranty and are supposed to be low energy use. I have pool pumps on hand, but they are expensive to run 24-7. Have a few locals who are willing to pay for fish, but still looking at this as a glorified hobby. Want simplicity, inexpensive as possible, and easy to maintain.

Do you have a link? I'm finding lots of Sta Rites but I there seem to be quite a different number of models.

I'll try and find the info page...I didn't save it and can't remember where I found it the first time.

Still looking for the Sta Rite link. This seems to be more of an aquarium pump, but has decent performance curve, warranty, and energy use.

Another option? Can't find energy use?

2.9 watts- this would be pretty easy on electric. My 1 HP pool pump uses almost 7.
