When I had the T sections in front of the tank there wasn't any solids build up, but the pipes kept getting leaks from people leaning over the system to look in the tank. Replaced the Swirl Filter for filter pads on top of the grow beds which is simpler and more robust. I hope that's the answer you were looking for?

Having a small plot of land has made us think more about how to keep things looking nice and still functional, thanks for the compliment :)

Nice pics Mr Belleye.

My trout feed better when it's cold and have only gone off their feed if the levels are out. How's your ammonia? There might be a spike if there's lots of crap at the bottom.

My tanks are flat, but I get buildups in the corners too. I normally just move the air stone to the offending corner to stir it up a bit.

Yeah all good fuzzy, will slowly ramp up the kg of fish with each season currently showing 6.5, 0, 0, 0 and 4ppm salt. The Vacuum sorts out the solids in no time :), I read somewhere that the optimal temp for trout is 16-18C hopefully my timer will help keep it there although today is not the best for warming anything!
