Hi yall, I'm about 50% complete in building my 4 - 55 gal barrel aquaponics system. I need to know how to pipe up my dump tank and my duck weed tank. I don't know where to send the products discharged form these tanks. Also I think I'm going to go with the clay pebbles for my growing bed. Thank you, Gil

Gill, without a picture of your system it is hard to give advice. I don't think the forum allows pictures until you get 10 posts or so. Feel free to look at my system pictures to see if its any help at all.
Any discharge should go back to the fish tank at some point to keep the system as a recirculating system.

Hello Friends, My system is about 75% complete. I have a problem with my siphoning system. It will not stop siphoning. What do I have to do to correct this.

Planting ? Is it best to plant seeds or should I start with rooted plants?

There are different ways to tune it. You can turn down the water supply. Also, make sure the holes in the bottom of the bell are large enough to suck in air and water when it gets down that low.

How much water are you pumping in?
How big is your standpipe and bell?
What is your configuration of the piping underneath?

Also, the siphon properties will change when you add media.

+1 on this...

I stressed over the draining of my 3 beds without media, and the timing of the draining over filling the sump. Then once the media goes in, all the dimensions and timings change again.
