Hello all!
So a year has passed since I entered the wonderful world of Aquaponics and I thought it might be time to share my thoughts on the system and the reasons why I've terminated the 'test'.

So the concept was to build a cheap system and run a it on top of an aquarium, indoors in a window sill.
And it worked - well there were problems with waterspills, sickness and other problems - but not well enough.
While it cleaned the tank like a pro, and as well as any filter, and the plants grew, they did not grow as well as hoped and it all came down to light.
My windowsill simply does not get enough light and not having the money for a dedicated growlight this means it will never be as productive as hoped.

So it was fun and I wish you all the best of luck for this wonderful system which I will definitely try again if I ever get the right location for it!
