Thank you all for your thoughtful responses and suggestions
If I may, I would like to come back to the initial purpose of my query on this blog.
I would like to build myself a wood-framed greenhouse (about 16x20ft) with polycarbonate cover and I am looking for either design plans / construction drawings or a draftsman who could help me prepare the construction drawings for a small fee.
thanks all

Bunch of free plans here:

Here are some plans that might be what you're looking for. The first link is for a 16 or 26' wide by however long wood greenhouse and the second link is the main site where there are some additional greenhouse plans and just about any other structure you might need around the farm.

Note that on the main site is a list of abbreviations used with the plans.

The construction was similar with the lats and spacers but unfortunately I can't find the book, it was quite a few years ago so I probably lent it to someone. I did find a couple of other books on greenhouses but they were about commercial greenhouses and not about diy construction techniques. :)
