I was in the hardware the other day and I saw 1m long brushes like you are using. I then saw that they are held together with galvanised wire. Not sure what yours are made from but the ones I saw would be a bad idea.

Quite a small fish pool compared to the whole system. Will you have enough nutrient? Aso isn't 50kg fish/1500L of water a bit overstocked?

50kg fish can not offer enough nutrient especially in winter. My water is just 12 centigrade,The fish is loss of appetite. I my suffering the deficency of nutrient.

1500L of water with 50Kg fish isn't crowded, because the total water is 9000L.

Well it is crowded for the tank I mean.

It is very crowded when the fish sink to the bottom.hehe.but the total water is enough.

Cookie, a bio digester purpose in a backyard AP isn't to remove excess nitrates, it's to further digest waste to a usable accessible form. Some times this can be done externally which can either be reintroduced or used else where like your dirt garden or wicking beds.

My system's nitrite is too high to harm fish.Do I need change some water?
If I change some water the deficiencies of nitrate will be more serious. :upset:

The only way to limit nitrite toxicity is to either salt and/or change out water to lower levels.

How would a nitrate deficiency (even assuming it's real), be a problem??
