We're in the 3rd year running our systems and have had some ups and some downs. But currently we're doing pretty well. I posted some details in a different forum but here they are

180 gallon fish pond
250 gallon gravel bed
300 gallon raft bed/sump

Depending on how well my student work, the system works great. It's been hot so we have some lettuce issues. Also we need to increase fish density, nitrates are loooowww.

Some quick pics

Yea looks great, I bet the kids really enjoy it. So much learning can be taken from aquaponics.

Kids absolutely love it.

I hate foam boards! I wish there was a good alternative to a floating surface. We primed and painted 2 coats of paint on the foam. BUT they are 3 years old. so I guess they have lasted a while.
