Hi,

Ive been lurking around the forum for quite some time, reading everything I can find on system builds and general AP theory and have finally come up with a design I think works for me...

We live in Cape Town CBD, and have limited space in the backyard, so scale/size of the system was a key issue. The design is basically a +/- 500 liter FT with a 160 liter ST and 200 liter GB. The plan is to add some towers as a phase two. See attached Sketchup render...

The GB will get sun from about 8am to 1pm, I hope this is enough?

Some helpful critisizm would be appreciated!

Cheers :)

Hey DK, Welcome aboard.

That is a good start. But as you will find out, there is no such thing as enough in Aquaponics!!

I Want to make a run to the hardware store this afternoon... What is the general feeling around epoxy vs pondliner in the GB & FT?

Hi D,
I don't know which epoxy you want to use but there are plenty which are toxic to humans or fish. Pondliner is made to be fish safe so as a default I would go that route unless you know your epoxies well and can choose something safe.

Regards, Martin.
