hiya
I saw an aquaponics set-up using a ibc tote and thought I can do that..
well after locating my parts I had it built in a afternoon.
without knowing any better and some impatience thrown in I quickly put in my baby plants and a few days later 17 tilapia fingerlings. then after discovering this site and doing alittle reading I maybe should have done it more step by step. but I haven't killed any fish yet and my veggies are growing so fast I figured oh well I got lucky..
I finally bought a water tester and my readings were
ph about 8
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 0
now i'm hooked on this new hobby and have been enjoying my time with it & looking forward to eating some homegrown fish!
